OD and wall thickness are in millimetres. Density is in g/cm³. Total weight equals kg/m multiplied by the entered total tube length. Inside diameter is calculated as OD − 2 × WT.
Thickness, width and length are in millimetres. Multiply the single-piece result by quantity for the total theoretical weight.
Values below are room-temperature nominal values for estimation. Composition, specification and producer data can create small differences, so the calculator allows manual adjustment.

This calculator uses the smooth round-tube formula. For integral low fin tubes and inner grooved tubes, the finished OD and a nominal wall thickness do not fully describe the metal cross-section. Use the parent-tube dimensions only for an initial estimate, or provide the parent tube size, root diameter, fin or groove geometry, plain-end details and drawing for project-specific review.

No. The result is a theoretical value based on nominal dimensions and nominal density. Actual weight may vary because of OD, wall, width, length and thickness tolerances, alloy composition, surface condition, manufacturing route, cut losses and weighing method.
Yes. Select Imperial to enter tube OD and wall thickness in inches and length in feet. The calculator displays results in both kilograms and pounds, including kg/m and lb/ft for round tube.
Enter outside diameter, wall thickness and the combined total tube length required. Use metres in Metric mode or feet in Imperial mode. The wall thickness must be less than half of the outside diameter.
It can compare theoretical weight when the same nominal geometry is entered with different material densities. It does not confirm that stainless steel, titanium or a nickel alloy is a suitable replacement. Material and geometry selection must also consider working medium, corrosion, temperature, pressure, fabrication, heat transfer requirement and customer specification.
Not from finished OD and nominal wall thickness alone. Enhanced tube weight depends on the parent tube and the actual fin or groove geometry. Parent-tube dimensions may provide an initial reference, but final weight should be reviewed from the drawing and manufacturing data.
The displayed values are nominal. Density can vary slightly with composition and source data, especially for custom or modified alloys. An editable field allows buyers to use an approved project value, producer datasheet or material certificate value.
