For most tube inquiries, you do not need to prepare a long technical questionnaire. Please send the basic tube details first: material grade, tube type, OD, wall thickness, length, quantity and application. If more information is needed, GAOFA TECH will follow up according to the product type and project requirement.
This checklist helps buyers prepare RFQs for stainless steel tubes, titanium tubes, nickel alloy tubes, enhanced heat transfer tubes, heating element tubes and heat exchanger tube projects.

A Simple RFQ Checklist, Not a Technical Questionnaire
Most professional buyers already know the tube material, size and application they need. This page is designed to make the inquiry process easier, while still giving optional guidance for custom tubes, replacement projects, enhanced tube geometries and inspection requirements.
Material, tube type, size, quantity and application are usually enough for an initial review.
Straight tubes may not need formal CAD drawings. Enhanced tubes and U-bent tubes usually need drawings.
Corrosion, copper replacement, special inspection or new development may need more technical information.
Complete basic information helps us respond faster and avoid repeated clarification.
Information Needed for Most Tube Quotations
For ordinary straight tubes and many regular purchasing projects, the information below is usually enough for GAOFA TECH to start quotation review. If a formal drawing, old order reference or sample photo is available, please include it.

What Extra Information Is Helpful for Different Tube Types?
These are not mandatory long forms. They are short notes to help buyers understand when extra information is useful, especially for custom, replacement or enhanced tube projects.
Heating Element Tubes
For most heating element tube inquiries, material grade, OD, wall thickness, length, quantity and tube form are enough for an initial quotation. Extra forming or working condition details are mainly useful for new product development, corrosion failure or material replacement projects.
Heat Exchanger Tubes
For regular heat exchanger tube RFQs, material, size, standard, tube form and quantity are the key items. Tube-side / shell-side media, pressure, temperature or corrosion data are helpful when the project involves seawater, brine, acid, replacement or material change.
Condenser and Evaporator Tubes
For condenser and evaporator tubes, basic tube dimensions and material are enough to begin. Refrigerant, cooling water, seawater, brine or oil information is useful when corrosion, phase-change design or replacement approval must be reviewed.
Enhanced Heat Transfer Tubes
Enhanced tubes usually need more geometry information than smooth tubes. For inner grooved tubes, groove depth, helix angle and groove count are useful. For low fin tubes, fin height, fin pitch and plain end length are important.
Nickel Alloy and Hastelloy Tubes
For nickel alloy tubes, please provide the exact grade when possible, such as Incoloy 825, Inconel 625 or Hastelloy C276. Chemical service details are helpful for special corrosion review.
Titanium Tubes
For titanium tube inquiries, please confirm grade, tube form and size. Application details are useful when the tubes are used for seawater cooling, marine condensers, chemical equipment, bicycle tubes, exhaust systems or precision replacement projects.
When Should Buyers Provide More Technical Information?
Extra technical information is not required for every inquiry. It becomes useful when the project is not a standard repeat purchase, or when the tube material, geometry, inspection or replacement risk needs additional review.
If these details are not available at the first contact, you can still send the basic tube information and application. GAOFA TECH will ask for the missing items only when they affect quotation accuracy or production feasibility.

Do You Need a Drawing or Existing Tube Sample?
A formal CAD drawing is not always required. For common straight tubes, clear dimensions and material grade may be enough for initial quotation. Drawings, samples or photos become more important when the tube shape, geometry or replacement accuracy affects production.

Inspection Support That Can Be Reviewed Before Ordering
Inspection scope should match the material, tube form, standard and order requirement. GAOFA TECH can review common tube inspection and documentation items before quotation or production.
Depending on the product and specification, inspection can include dimensional inspection, visual inspection, material verification, PMI, eddy current testing, hydrostatic testing, pneumatic testing or other agreed checks. For applicable orders, material certificates such as EN 10204 3.1 MTC can be provided according to the purchasing specification.

Can I send an inquiry if I do not have all the information?
Yes. For most tube inquiries, you can start with material grade, tube type, OD, wall thickness, length, quantity and application. If the project requires additional information, such as inspection details, drawing, replacement sample or working condition, GAOFA TECH will follow up after reviewing your initial RFQ.
Do I need to provide a formal CAD drawing?
Not always. For ordinary straight tubes, a formal CAD drawing is usually not required if you can provide clear material, size, length, quantity and standard. For enhanced tubes, U-bent tubes, special end conditions or replacement projects, a drawing is strongly recommended. For enhanced heat transfer tubes, the drawing should show key details such as groove depth, helix angle, fin pitch, fin height, plain end length or other geometry required by the design.
Can GAOFA TECH quote based on an existing tube sample?
Yes. If you have an existing tube sample, old drawing, photos or a previous order reference, these can help us review the project. For simple tubes, photos and measured dimensions may be enough for a preliminary discussion. For complex enhanced tubes, U-bent tubes or replacement tube bundles, sending a physical sample may help confirm OD, wall thickness, surface condition, groove or fin structure and possible material direction. Final material grade, standard and application requirement should still be confirmed by the buyer.
What forms of material testing and inspection can GAOFA TECH provide?
Depending on material, standard and order requirement, inspection can include dimensional inspection, visual inspection, PMI, eddy current testing, hydrostatic testing, pneumatic testing and packing review. Material certificates, including EN 10204 3.1 MTC when applicable, can be provided according to the purchasing specification. How fast can I expect a response after submitting my tube inquiry?
For standard tube inquiries with clear material, size and quantity, GAOFA TECH usually provides an initial response within 24 working hours. For custom enhanced tubes, special alloys, replacement projects or inquiries that require mill confirmation, quotation review may take longer. In these cases, we will confirm the expected timing after checking the RFQ details.
